What is RQI?
RQI — Roster Quality Index — is a forward-looking measure of roster quality, built from who is on the roster and what each player projects to contribute. Read the full explanation on our What is RQI page.
How is this different from KenPom or Torvik?
Those systems rate teams primarily on games already played. InsightGM projects the roster itself — before the first tip, and as it changes through the portal and recruiting cycle.
What's free, and what needs a Pro account?
The league board and conference pages are free for everyone. Team pages, player-level RQI contributions, Season Mode, and the what-if tools are part of InsightGM Pro.
Can I see any team, or just mine?
Every team page is readable with Pro. You pick your team for the what-if tools, and can add up to two more teams to your account.
How do the what-if tools work?
Adjust a player’s minutes, remove a player, and watch the projection reprice. Try the live minutes demo on the For Fans page.
How often do the numbers update?
Projections refresh daily as roster moves and new data land.
Does this predict who wins tonight's game?
No — InsightGM projects season-level outcomes: wins, NET, and postseason probability. It’s a roster and season tool, not a game picker.
Where does the data come from?
Public performance data, roster tracking across every Division I program, and recruiting information.
How accurate is it?
Projections are probabilistic — built and refined against historical seasons. No projection system is a crystal ball; ours is designed to be honest about what a roster should deliver.
